- In March Erik hosted a party at his house, gathering DNR members and others. At the time, a groupchat called Swagaholics (lol) was very active and featured a bunch of us who came to this thing. I was on a photo rampage throughout the winter and wanted to take straight-on posed portraits. I was also dying to try out this ridiculous LED light I attached to my camera. The color of the light was changeable and I came up to everyone asking them what color they wanted to be, moving the wheel until they told me to stop on one. The lights in Erik’s basement were red, so would combine with whatever color was chosen in a strange way.
- I shot about eleven or twelve photos before my roll was used up. Shortly before this, Tomi told me she had an extra roll of film, asking me if I wanted it. So I loaded up her roll of 200 speed color film and proceeded to shoot portraits of everyone else including Tomi herself. Weeks later, I stood at the counter of Accurate Photo as they told me the entire roll of 200 was black.
And so, if you are viewing these and wondering whatever happened to the colorful portrait I shot of you, it was on the bum second roll (probably cursed from a night that became increasingly debauched).
